Benjamin Chatton will be the national team manager of the German handball players. The 43-year-old, who will be giving up his position as head of finance and legal affairs at the German Handball Federation in mid-November, will take on the newly created position on a part-time basis from September 1. This was decided by the DHB executive committee at a meeting in Düsseldorf.

“With a national team manager, we are strengthening the operational power of the men’s A team,” said the new DHB sports director Ingo Meckes. In the coming days, Meckes, who is succeeding Axel Kromer, wants to work with Chatton to “form the team around the team.” Chatton’s contract is initially valid up to and including the 2027 World Cup at home.
