Everyone is off to a colder start to the day. It will be a frosty start to the north.
A few of our counties to the northwest will also be under a Freeze Warning until 9am. Hopefully you received the message yesterday and were able to either bring your sensitive plants inside or cover them up.
Temperatures this morning are coldest to the north. Areas farther south are not as chilly but a jacket will still be needed.
We are in store for a pleasant afternoon. There will be plenty of sunshine with high temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
Skies stay clear tonight as temperatures fall down to the 30s and 40s. Areas farther north near the Kansas/Nebraska line will get close to freezing.
We have more nice days ahead. It will turn a bit warmer later this week but high temperatures will still be close to average.
To account for more freezing temperatures, A Freeze Watch has been issued for late Tuesday night through early Wednesday morning.
More changes occur late in the week as a system approaches from the west. Rain chances return to the forecast by Friday.
Chances go up over the weekend. So far, it looks as though rain will favor the western half of the area.
We also have some gusty days ahead. Winds will be strongest Thursday and Friday.
