Brussels decided to impose new customs duties of up to 35.3 percent on imports of electric cars manufactured in China.
Representatives of Beijing and the 27-nation bloc have held eight rounds of talks on the issue in Brussels since September 20.
“There are still significant differences between the two sides,” a statement issued by the ministry said, adding that Beijing had invited negotiators European Union For further discussions in China.
