After the State Ministry for the Environment put a stop to 1,700 planned apartments in the north of the Golm district, the city administration is making a new attempt at the project. According to this, the city councilors are to make a key decision this year: The city hall is to stick to the concept for the expansion of the science park and for new apartments in the district and continue to negotiate with the ministry currently headed by Axel Vogel (Greens). At the same time, the building administration wants to bring forward work on an already approved commercial area for Golm. The plans were presented to the press on Thursday by the head of the building department, Bernd Rubelt (independent), and head of city planning, Erik Wolfram.
