Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger is known for his commitment to climate protection – now the Austrian-born actor (“Terminator”) and former governor of the US state of California is receiving an honorary doctorate from the Hertie School in Berlin. The award ceremony will take place on September 17th. Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck will give the laudation. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection confirmed the date.
Among other things, Schwarzenegger founded the “Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative,” which supports climate projects worldwide. The Hertie School is a state-recognized private university.
