BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 21 OCT- The Brunei Darussalam Nurses Association (PENJURU) today submitted a donation of $22,884 to the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023.
Present to receive the donation was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, located in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) building.
Also present to hand over the donation was the President of PENJURU, Datin Paduka Hajah Suraya Noraidah binti Abdullah.
The donation is the result of collection from all officers and staff of government hospitals and clinics throughout the district through a fundraising campaign conducted by PENJURU members.
Also present to witness the handing over of the donation was the Acting Director of the Community Development Department (JAPEM), Dayang Siti Zaharah binti Haji Abdul Razak, officials from JAPEM and members of PENJURU.
According to a statement, the collection period of the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023 has been extended for six months until April 18, 2025. This is to give the public the opportunity to continue charitable activities and donations to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
People who wish to collect donations for the fund must first request permission from JAPEM as the Trustee of the National Committee of the Palestinian Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023, if the net collection proceeds are donated to the fund.
If there are individuals, associations and registered agencies who wish to donate only part of the net proceeds obtained from holding activities in the form of public entertainment, it is recommended to apply for permission in advance from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
In addition, the public who wish to donate can also donate online through the Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) account, account number 00-001-01-0089051 (Humanitarian Fund of the Palestinian People in Gaza 2023) or through the BIBD QuickPay service with scan the QR code that can be found on the posters and stickers of the Palestine People’s Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023.
In addition, fund boxes are also provided in mosques, suraus and worship halls, bank buildings, business buildings and public buildings throughout the country.
In addition, the public can also send donations directly to the Trusteeship of the Palestinian People’s Humanitarian Fund in Gaza 2023 at the Management and Administration Division, 2nd Floor, JAPEM, KKBS Building, Jalan Kebangsaan, during office hours.
