The police have searched several buildings in Brandenburg, Berlin and Lower Saxony as part of investigations into illegal drug trafficking. The apartments of the four suspects were searched in five locations, said a spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office in Neuruppin. A 23-year-old was arrested in Hanover.

The spokesman said there was suspicion that the accused, aged between 23 and 52, were dealing in narcotics. The officers did not provide any further details about the search locations.

During the searches, the police seized cannabis and “chemical cannabinoids” in “not insignificant quantities”. The public prosecutor’s office in Neuruppin is leading the investigation and did not want to provide any further details, citing the ongoing investigation.
