Found property, suspicion: Pinetree Road
A cyclist rode to the police station after finding a loaded magazine of containing 15 rounds of SIG Sauer bullets lying in the roadway near Heinen’s grocery around noon Oct. 12.
He picked up the magazine and changed course, turning the magazine over to police. Officers said Oct. 13 there had been no claimers yet.
Counterfeiting, follow-up investigation: Shaker Boulevard
Police received a Law Enforcement Referral Report on Oct. 7 from the Amazon Counterfeit Crimes Unit regarding suspected but unspecified counterfeiting and fraudulent activities with ties to Pepper Pike. More information will be released pending further investigation.
Assist rescue squad: Pinetree Road
Police and an ambulance responded to Heinen’s grocery around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9 concerning a Pepper Pike woman, 62, possibly intoxicated, who had fallen on the floor in the store. She was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Traffic stop, expired plates: South Woodland Road
Police stopped a Cleveland woman, 34, on Oct. 4 as she was driving with tags that expired in July. Officers then found an active Pepper Pike traffic warrant also filed against her from a previous traffic stop.
She was taken to the Beachwood jail where she paid a waiver.
Warrant: Shaker Boulevard
University Heights police reported Oct. 4 that they were out with a Cleveland man, 32, showing an active traffic warrant from Pepper Pike. Once custody transferred, he was taken to the Beachwood jail.
General assist: Shaker Boulevard
A resident arrived at the police station Oct. 7 to turn in gun ammunition he no longer wanted in the house.
