BEREA, Ohio — Deshaun Watson underwent season-ending surgery to repair his ruptured right Achilles tendon on Friday morning, and a full recovery is expected, the Browns said in a statement.
Dr. Bob Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist in Charlotte, N.C., performed the surgery. Watson, 29, opted for the conventional procedure, which involves about a 6-9 month recovery. That could conceivably have him back on the field by the start of training camp in late July, at least on a limited basis.
