Does Myles Garrett agree with a coordinator that the Browns lacked effort and didn’t play hard enough vs. the Cowboys?

BEREA, Ohio — Myles Garrett, who broadcast the Browns’ mission to win a Super Bowl before the opener, agrees with assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone that the effort and intensity were lacking in Sunday’s 33-17 loss to the Cowboys.

“I can see what he’s talking about with that,” Garrett, a team captain and reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, said during his weekly availability on Friday. “There were some bad busts in each phase and when we have busts like that, you have to play with overwhelming effort to account for that and I don’t think we played with that kind of effort to counteract those busts that we had in each phase of the game. So if it’s going to be an off day, you have to take it to the next level as far as that effort and that passion. It wasn’t one day on Sunday. We’ve got to take it up a notch.”
