Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council has announced the introduction of Golden Visas for exceptional educators in Dubai’s private education sector.

This announcement was made on World Teachers’ Day, highlighting the emirate’s commitment to valuing the role of teachers in shaping future generations.

The initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader ambitions outlined in the recently launched Education 33 strategy, which emphasizes the recognition of inspiring educators who enhance student learning experiences and contribute to regional and global competitiveness.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed heartfelt gratitude to educators, stating, “We deeply value their mission and the invaluable role they play in shaping minds, nurturing future generations, and driving the progress of nations.”

He further noted that the dedication and achievements of teachers not only define the present but also lay the foundation for a prosperous future, underscoring their importance in Dubai’s development.

Golden visa to recognise efforts of teachers in private education sector

This decision follows directives from UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who recently established the Emirati Day for Education to be celebrated annually on February 28, recognising the contributions of all education sector professionals.

The Golden Visa initiative is a testament to the UAE’s respect for teachers, acknowledging their educational and humanitarian roles in fostering a passion for knowledge and instilling positive values among students.

It also supports the Dubai Social Agenda 33 by appreciating educators’ contributions to the educational landscape.

By attracting outstanding educational talent, this initiative aims to fulfill one of the key objectives of the Education 33 strategy, positioning Dubai as a premier destination for exceptional educators.

The strategy seeks to instill lifelong learning values and enhance the quality of education at all levels, aiming to make Dubai one of the top 10 cities for education worldwide.

The Golden Visas will be awarded to educators across private early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions in Dubai.

Those recognised will be individuals who have significantly contributed to their students’ academic success and received positive feedback from the community for their impact on educational quality.
