BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 26 – The latest Dynamik Trees social responsibility program from Dynamik Technologies reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and efforts in line with its core management values ​​to build a legacy for future generations.
This was stated by the Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies, Haslina Taib in her welcome speech during the launch of the Dynamik Trees Program which took place at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Botany Research Center (UBD BRC), today.
Also present at the ceremony were the Vice Chancellor of the University of Brunei Darussalam, Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle; Director of the Environment and Biodiversity Research Institute, Dr Hussein bin Haji Taha, as well as senior management officers from Dynamik Technologies and UBD.
Haslina in her welcome speech further stated that their goal is to fulfill their responsibility in ensuring sustainability as part of their company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices and also to make a meaningful impact on the ecosystem. Dynamik’s contribution, he added, will help enrich the botanical collection at UBD BRC, advance the mission of research, education and conservation of Brunei’s diverse flora.
Earlier in his welcome speech, Dr Hussein shared that UBD BRC, which is Brunei Darussalam’s first botanical garden, is committed to working with the industry in supporting the centre’s ongoing research and conservation efforts.
He stated that the collaboration with Dynamik Technologies is an important milestone in UBD BRC’s research achievements and that the trees selected to be lifted and planted as part of the Dynamik Trees program will be further studied by the research team at the centre.
The launch of the program witnessed a tree planting event jointly completed by Haslina Taib and Dr Hazri to mark the launch of the program and celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of Dynamik Technologies.
The program is the latest corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of Dynamik Technologies with the first project conducted together with the Institute for Environmental and Biodiversity Research, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
Through the program, Dynamik Technologies supports the conservation of 5 native species at UBD BRC through a project Adopt A Tree. The Dynamik Trees program has also supported the planting of 23 native tree species of high conservation value at UBD BRC on September 18.
Sponsorship by Dynamik Technologies and collaboration with UBD BRC plays an important role in supporting UBD’s sustainability efforts and biodiversity research through conservation actions and raising awareness of the importance of protecting Brunei’s nature.
