Popular actress, singer and presenter, Elly Mazlein, 44, admits to choosing to ‘hide’ the face of her two eyes with emojis on every photo she uploads on Instagram (IG).
Elly or her real name, Sharifah Aida Mazlina Syed Hanafi said, she acted this way because she felt more good when she did not share photos of her children on social media.
“I choose to hide my child’s face on social media as long as I can. This is because, I only put emojis in IG only.
“But, if I’m outside (walking with my family) I’m okay and I’m not a child until I have to wear a mask. It’s true that outside, there are people who will surely reprimand Sefhia already grown up.
“It’s just that I don’t share on social media because there are so many good things,” he said Daily Metro when met at the launch ceremony of the fifth branch of the gold shop, Merchant9 in Wangsa Maju, yesterday.
In the event, Elly, affectionately known as Kak Lina Pom Pom, was appointed as an ambassador, and the launch ceremony was performed by the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.
Elly, who is also a radio presenter, said, however, it is up to each parent whether or not they want to share their child’s photo on social media.
“Every parent has a way to share children in social media.
I did choose to let the children be behind the scenes.
“Because, I want my child to grow up like other children. Just like us before, he was free to go out and didn’t get much attention. I want my children to feel that way.
“Later, when you grow up, ask Sefhia whether you want to have your own social media account such as IG, TikTok and so on,” he said.
Elly is grateful that her daughter understands the actions taken because of the education she gave to Sefhia as an adult when explaining the pros and cons of something. – Agency
