BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 25 – To ensure the implementation of the Women’s Special Assembly which will be held on September 26 runs smoothly and in an orderly manner, full rehearsals for the event were held this afternoon at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Jerudong.
Present to witness the exercise was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman as Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Celebration of Islamic Greatness Days at the National Level and Al-Quran Reading Contest National Level Adult Division Year 1446 Hijrah; Minister of Education, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh as Joint Advisor to the Women’s Special Assembly in conjunction with the celebration of the Maulud of the Prophet Muhammad SAW Year 1446 Hijrah and also Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Joint Administrator); The Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, His Excellency Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha as Co-Coordinator of the Women’s Special Gathering in conjunction with the Celebration of the Birth of the Prophet Muhammad SAW Year 1446 Hijrah and the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
Among the filling of the ceremony is the performance of reciting the holy verses of the Quran, Dikir Marhaban, special talks and greetings.
The theme for the Women’s Special Gathering in conjunction with the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad SAW’s birthday for the year 1446 Hijrah is Maintaining Reason Based on the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW.
This year’s ceremony is jointly managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation and the Brunei Darussalam Women’s Council.
Also present were co-advisors, co-chairmen from co-operators and other working committee members.
