ESSCOM ensures that Malaysia remains safe and secure

LAHAD DATU, SEPT 6 – Malaysia’s experience of facing the dark moment of the invasion of armed Sulu terrorists from the southern Philippines in Kampung Tanduo in Felda Sahabat more than 11 years ago, taught all parties how important it is to defend the sovereignty and security of the country.

Speak to Named recently, ESSCOM Commander, Datuk Victor Sanjos said since its establishment in 2013, ESSCOM has coordinated operations in an integrated manner through Op Sanggah and Op Gasak.

The operation aims to detect and curb external elements, gunpowder, cross-border criminal elements and the entry of illegal immigrants to the east coast of Sabah.
