NEW YORK — Ms. Rachel, a social media influencer specializing in children’s educational entertainment, has released her first book.
Ms. Rachel — whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso — released Ms. Rachel and the Special Surprise!: Encouraging Speech and Learning Through Play and Music, on September 24.
The book features more than 20 important milestones including gestures and speech. Using key lessons from her YouTube channel and threading them into an interactive story, she shows kids and parents fun ways to engage and play.
The book features Accurso how kids recognize her—in her pink shirt, overalls, and a headband—and teaching them important lessons, just as she does on YouTube where she has more than 11.6 million subscribers.
Fans of Ms. Rachel will recognize characters and music from their favorite videos while the former preschool teacher guides readers through exercises like pointing and call and response.
Accurso posted on her Instagram sharing that the book is being released.
“My first book is out tomorrow! Thank YOU so much for helping me do this! I’ve always loved children’s books and reading with my little boy! I hope this book brings you and your little one joy,” she said.
