This year’s Clio Prize at the Potsdam Festival for the historical film “Moving History” goes to the Austrian director and producer David Schalko for his TV six-part series “Kafka”The organizers announced this on Thursday. The jury was particularly impressed by the combination of historical accuracy and unconventional narrative style, they said.
All six nominated productions will be shown in the Film Museum from September 25th. The award ceremony will take place on September 28th at 7 p.m. The laudation will be given by literary critic Knut Cordsen. The film prize, worth 5,000 euros, will be awarded by the state capital as part of the UNESCO Creative City of Film donated.
