BELAIT, SEPT 24 – With small colorful paper lanterns lighting up the night sky, Belait Foochow Association members and family members and friends gathered to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on September 22.
Chairman of the festival organizers, Law Siew Fong emphasized that the reunion is a tradition that the association celebrates every year.
“The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the many festivals we look forward to every year, as it is marked by gratitude and joy in addition to enjoying moon cakes and playing traditional lanterns,” he added.
On the occasion, various fun activities and games were organized including the singing of poems related to the festival, a lantern procession around the grounds and a lantern making competition, with the winner of the best handmade lantern receiving a prize at the event.
