The first big test awaits 1. FC Union Berlin on the third matchday. The second away game of this Bundesliga season takes the Köpenickers to RB Leipzig. 4,800 Union fans will accompany their team to the match on Saturday (3:30 p.m./Sky).

Unbeaten: Both teams are still unbeaten this season. Leipzig is in third place after two wins. Union is fifth in the table with four points.

Serie I: RB won against champions Leverkusen on the last matchday and is now the longest unbeaten team in the league. The Saxons are unbeaten in 13 league games (nine wins and four draws).

Clarity: In the ten Bundesliga matches between RB and Union so far, there has always been a winner, never a draw. Both teams have triumphed five times each.

Reunion: Union coach Bo Svensson played with Leipzig coach Marco Rose at Mainz 05. As a Mainz football coach, Svensson met Rose when Rose was working for Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. The record is even (two wins, one draw, two defeats). However, Rose is suspended for yellow-red cards for Svensson’s 100th Bundesliga game. And the ill Svensson must hope that he will be fit by match day.

Series II: In the last 27 games in which Union was behind, the Berlin team has not managed to win. The last time this happened was on February 11, 2023 in Leipzig, when Union was able to turn a 0-1 deficit into a 2-1 victory
