BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 3 OCT – In an effort to encourage people to practice recycling and reduce the amount of solid waste in landfills, Green Brunei will organize a recycling program on 5 October at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
Accordingly, the public is welcome to bring recycled items to the program from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Recycled items accepted include paper, books, plastic bottles, aluminium, newspapers, cardboard boxes, metal (washed and emptied) and electronic waste (waste of computers, monitors, printers, laptops etc.).
This collection program does not accept plastic bags, plastic wrap, plastic containers, glass, styrofoam and glossy paper.
Since its establishment in 2014, Green Brunei has collected a total of 213,687 kilograms of recycled goods.
