Four national wushu athletes left for Hong Kong

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 11 — Four national wushu athletes left for Hong Kong yesterday to participate in the 2024 World Games Series which will run from October 11 to 13, in preparation for grabbing a place at the 2025 World Games.

The athletes are Basma Lachkar, Lim Yee Sean, Hosea Wong Zheng Yu and Majdurano Joel bin Majallah Sain, who will compete in various wushu events. Basma Lachkar, Lim Yee Sean and Hosea Wong Zheng Yu will compete in the Taijiquan and Taijijian events respectively. Meanwhile, Majdurano Joel will compete in the Nanquan and Nangun events.

The competition is a qualifying round for the 2025 World Games scheduled to take place from 7 to 17 August 2025 in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China.

Present at the Brunei International Airport to wish the athletes a safe sailing were the national coach, Li Hui, and the women’s coach, Zhao Chunjie.
