Four people injured in accident in Berlin-Neukölln

When a car collided with a BVG bus in Berlin-Neukölln Four people were injured. Berlin police announced this on Sunday.

The accident happened around 4.45 p.m. at the intersection Sonnenallee and Grenzallee. According to witnesses, the 39-year-old driver collided with the oncoming M41 bus while turning left. The driver, his 27-year-old partner, his seven-year-old son and a 69-year-old bus passenger were injured in the accident.

All of the injured were taken to hospitals. The driver, his son and the bus passenger each suffered a traumatic brain injury and were discharged after outpatient treatment. The 27-year-old passenger had to remain in hospital due to severe pelvic injuries and internal bleeding.

The intersection area remained closed for accident investigation and rescue operations until about 8.30 p.m., which also affected traffic on the BVG-Line M41. A traffic accident command was on site. (Tsp)
