Fun Walk preserves the mental and physical health of religious teachers

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 6 OCT – A total of about 300 religious teachers participated in the event ‘Fun Walk’ which was held at Kampong Parit Park, Pengkalan Batu early this morning.

The aim of the event is to foster healthy lifestyle practices, strengthen relationships and unity as well as preserve the mental and physical well-being of religious teachers, thus appreciating the services of teachers, the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI) through the Leaders Committee of Brunei Religious Schools IV (JKPSSU BR IV)

Present as special guests at the event were the Islamic Studies Officer of Brunei Region IV, JPI, Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Dayang Hajah Mu’izzah binti Kefli as well as officials and teachers from Brunei Region IV Religious schools.

The event started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the Prayer for the Protection of the Sultan by Cikgu Awang Haji Malek Faishal bin Haji Saili followed by a speech from a special guest.

Next, a health talk in conjunction with Mental Well-Being Month was delivered by Acting Assistant Director, Disability Division (BOKU), JAPEM Community Development Department, Ministry of Youth Culture and Sports, Dayang Irnawati binti Haji Mahir.

The event was also interspersed with a lucky draw and a photo session.
