Games in Paris: For the fifth time: Rehm wins Paralympic gold again

World record holder Markus Rehm lived up to his role as favorite in the long jump and won his fifth Paralympic gold medal in Paris. The 36-year-old defended his title with a distance of 8.13 meters. His longest jump to date ended in 2023 at 8.72 meters. Rehm lost his right leg below the knee in a wakeboarding accident when he was 14 years old.

Another German jumper, Noah Bodelier, took part. Rehm’s club colleague from TSV Bayer Leverkusen came in sixth place with 6.98 meters. For the German Disabled Sports Association, this is the sixth gold medal at the major event in the French capital.
