Presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump began their first TV debate with a handshake. The Democrat approached the Republican and introduced herself as “Kamala Harris” in the event hall in Philadelphia. The presidential debate between Trump and the then Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in June began without a handshake. Biden’s performance at the debate was so disastrous that the US president withdrew from the race and appointed his vice president Harris as his successor. She now wants to take over the highest office in the state after the presidential election on November 5th.
