In a separate statement, the army announced that it had detected two projectiles crossing from the north Gaza Where Israel is waging a war against Hamas, towards the city of Ashkelon, but they fell in an uninhabited area.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army closed areas around a number of towns in northern Israel after a security assessment, following the evacuation of many of them due to the launching of rockets and shells by the Lebanese Hezbollah group from Lebanon.
He announced that the closed military zones along the border with Lebanon will now include Zarait, Shomara, Shtula, Natua, and Evin Menachem.
Earlier Friday, he warned Hezbollah Residents of areas in northern Israel warn that homes and military bases in residential neighborhoods, some of which are in major cities, will be his target.
