FDP Vice Wolfgang Kubicki is known for his sometimes blustering statements and announcementsAfter the state elections in Thuringia and Saxony with the catastrophic results for the federal government of SPD and Greens, but above all for the FDP, he tweeted: “The traffic light coalition has lost its legitimacy.”

Now Kubicki is attacking the traffic light government in an unusually sharp manner, even for his standards. “We will not end the year in this coalition if there is no movement on the migration issue and, above all, no movement in economic policy “, said the deputy of FDP leader Christian Lindner the “Pioneer Podcast”.

We can no longer support this policy and will leave the traffic light coalition if appropriate measures are not implemented.

Kubicki sees the problem primarily in migration: “We have too much immigration of people who are not integrated into our economic system, but are accommodated exclusively in the social system.” The impression was created that “we have a red-green alliance and the FDP tolerates all of this.” This is causing problems for the party and must be counteracted.

Kubicki continued: “We can no longer support this policy and will leave the traffic light coalition if appropriate measures are not implemented. Then the Social Democrats and the Greens will have to go under alone. At least not together with the FDP.”

Chancellor Olaf Scholz of the SPD gave Kubicki an unfavorable prognosis: “It is safe to say that Olaf Scholz will no longer be the next Chancellor of Germany.”

FDP parliamentary group leader Christian Dürr had on Wednesday warned of a breakdown of the traffic light coalition“To give up after a bitter election night and shirk responsibility is not an option for the FDP“, Dürr told the Funke newspapers.

The coalition cannot now concern itself with itself, but must do its job, said Dürr. “That is what the people expect from us.” By the time of the federal election, the traffic light coalition must be more growth and a “fundamental reorganization of German migration policy” initiate.

The vice-chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group, Gyde Jensenhad also questioned the government on Wednesday.

“In the next few days, we must find a clear answer to the question of whether the traffic light coalition will really help our country – or whether it will actually end up damaging the country and our democracy,” she told the Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland. “If we continue to sugarcoat things now, it would only be an escape from reality”said Jensen.
