BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 23 SEPT – Ahmad Descendant Jury (JKA) held a Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony in conjunction with the Celebration of the Birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Brunei Darussalam’s 78th birthday today.
Present as a special guest of the ceremony was Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Zaimi bin Haji Awang Talip who also led the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah in large numbers to start the ceremony which took place at the Dewan Masjid Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pegiran Anak Damit, Kampung Manggis / Madang.
A total of 60 participants participated in the event which was organized for the third time which is also one of the annual religious programs organized by JKA family members.
The recitation of the Khatam Al-Quran in large numbers starting from Surah Adh-Dhuha until Surah An-Nas was led by Awang Ahmad Hazazi bin Haji Jamil who also led the recitation of the Takhtim and then recited the Khatam Prayer.
The ceremony was graced with the singing of Dikir Marhaban led by Haji Awang Jasni bin Haji Awang Abdul Latif and followed by Selawat Tafrijiyyah.
While the prayer of thanksgiving to God Protect the Sultan and Brunei Darussalam was read by Awang Ahmad Hazazi.
