BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 13 OCT – The Ministry of Home Affairs (KHEDN) team successfully advanced to the quarter-finals representing the top four teams in the Open Category of Group A in the Inter-Ministerial Futsal Tournament in conjunction with the 31st Public Service Day (HPA) held at Multipurpose Hall, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas, yesterday.
KHEDN showed excellent performance by winning all five group matches, thus topping Group A with 15 points. In second place, the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) won 12 points after recording four wins and one loss.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) also qualified for the quarter-finals when they finished third and fourth in Group A respectively.
The four best teams from Group A now await the challenge of the four best teams from Group B, scheduled for Saturday.
Group B involves teams from the Ministry of Development (MOD), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Health (MOH), Prime Minister’s Department (JPM), and Ministry of Defense (MINDEF).
The tournament organized by KHEDN aims to increase the potential and unearth the talent of players, as well as strengthen the relationship of goodwill among civil servants.
