After a break of several months from competition, former European champion Konstanze Klosterhalfen made her comeback at an athletics meeting in Copenhagen and took fourth place in the 5000 meters. In the Danish capital, Klosterhalfen ran 15:10.56 minutes, almost 44 seconds over her personal best. The British runner Hannah Nuttall took the win (15:07.23 minutes).

For the 27-year-old Klosterhalfen, it was the first official competition since May 8 in Pfungstadt, Hesse. An infection bothered the runner for a long time afterwards. She was absent from both the European Championships in Rome and the Olympic Games in Paris.
