Former One Direction member Liam Payne was found dead after falling from the third floor of his hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina yesterday.
The authorities in a statement said that the police were called to the scene of the incident after receiving a complaint about a man in an aggressive state believed to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
Medical personnel who were rushed to the scene later found the body of a man on the patio of the hotel.
Payne, 31, made his name as a famous star after joining One Direction with four other members namely Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.
One Direction, who participated in the X Factor program in the United Kingdom in 2010, however split up after six years together to focus on solo projects.
Last month, Payne was seen attending his friend Nail Horan’s concert in Buenos Aires and the singer opened up about his drug and alcohol addiction problems over the past few years.
On Wednesday, Payne shared his vacation in Argentina and was seen spending a lot of time riding horses, playing polo and sightseeing there.
He even said he couldn’t wait to go back to London to meet his beloved dog. – Agency
