WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Sedgwick County opened 17 new polling sites on Tuesday.
KSN News was in Derby at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, where people waited up to an hour to vote early. The line extended outside the polling location.
“We have had a fantastic turnout. A fairly good line at 10 o’clock when we opened, and it has been steady. Everybody is in a good mood. Everybody is excited about voting. We are glad that they are voting early,” Elizabeth Esslinger, supervising judge, said.
More polling locations will be open on Election Day, Nov. 5.
