The group stated that the extension includes canceling flights to and from Tehran until January 31 and flights to and from Beirut until February 28.
It includes a group Lufthansa Lufthansa, Swiss Airways (SWISS), Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
Swiss Airlines said in a separate statement that it has decided to cancel its flights to Beirut until January 18, 2025, to ensure that its passengers and crew receive confirmations regarding flight times.
Lufthansa had decided to suspend its daily flights from Frankfurt to the Chinese capital, Beijing.
A spokeswoman for the company in Frankfurt announced on Monday that, as of the winter flight schedule that begins next Sunday (October 27), flights will not be operated to that destination temporarily for economic reasons.
On the other hand, the spokeswoman explained that Lufthansa continues to provide daily direct flights to Beijing Through its second center in Munich. The company uses an Airbus A350 aircraft in this destination, which is a more modern aircraft with lower fuel costs.
The company was using an older A340 aircraft on its previous flights from Frankfurt To Beijing.
