TOKYO, OCT 17 – Italian luxury fashion brand Prada and United States (US) start-up Axiom Space Inc launched a new space suit design, yesterday.
The suit, which was developed for NASA’s Artemis Moon exploration program, also involved Japan, the news agency reported Kyodo.
The full-body astronaut suit is made of white material that is resistant to high temperatures and fine sand, with red lines to add an interesting design element.
Two Japanese astronauts are expected to set foot on the Moon wearing the suit.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration-led Artemis program aims to send astronauts to the lunar surface in 2026, the first launch since the Apollo missions launched more than half a century ago. – Named
