BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Cleveland man, 29, was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. Oct. 5 after police found him in possession of one loaded firearm, two unidentified pills and a white rock substance they believed was an illegal drug.
Police had stopped the man’s car because he made an illegal turn from southbound West 150th Street onto westbound Brookpark. Also, he changed lanes without signaling.
The man’s driver’s license had been suspended. Police learned he had been convicted of felony aggravated assault and was on supervised release.
Police ticketed the man for driving under suspension and told him they would tow his car. He started walking eastbound on Brookpark with his girlfriend and child.
Police searched the man’s car and found a loaded 9 mm handgun, which he was not allowed to have due to his past felony conviction.
Police caught up with the man, who was still walking on Brookpark, and placed him in handcuffs.
