MANHATTAN, Kan. (KSNT) — The Riley County Police Department issued an update on a shooting that occurred late Wednesday evening in Manhattan.

The RCPD said just before 8 p.m. on Oct. 9, officers responded to the 900 block of Yuma Street for reports of shots fired. Police found a 23-year-old man from Manhattan had been shot in a nearby parking lot.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he was life-flighted to a Topeka hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
