Mapleside’s Pumpkin Village opens Friday for fall season

BRUNSWICK, Ohio — Mapleside Farms is kicking off its fall festival season this weekend with the opening of Pumpkin Village, its annual family-friendly attraction.

The festivities begin Friday with Princess & Pirates weekend, where children can meet Mapleside’s Princess Appleblossom and Princess Pumpkinpatch, along with pirates. The special events will continue every weekend through October.

Themed weekends include:

  • Sept. 14 and 15: Princess & Pirates weekend
  • Sept. 21 and 22: Hometown Heroes weekend
  • Sept. 28 and 29: 51st Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival
  • Oct. 5 and 6: Wild Wild West weekend
  • Oct. 11, 12 and 13: Superhero weekend
  • Oct. 19 and 20: The Great Pumpkin Fest
  • Oct. 26 and 27: Spooky Days weekend

The 2024 season features more than 20 attractions, including a new seven-acre corn maze. There will also be seasonal treats available for purchase such as homemade cider donuts, kettle corn, apple fritters, barbecued pork and cheeseburgers.

Pumpkin Village hours are Fridays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Ticket prices range from $13 to $17, with discounts available for seniors. Children two years old and younger are admitted for free. Fridays feature discounted admission.
