‘Matlock’ reboot episode 2: How to watch for free online today

The “Matlock” reboot is back with a new episode today. The new series stars Kathy Bates in the title role in this new twist on the old premise. Episode 2 airs tonight, Oct. 17, starting at 9 p.m. Eastern on CBS. Titled “Rome, in a Day,” Matty continues to settle into her new job as the team takes on the case of a developmentally delayed teen who’s been accused of murder.

If you’re looking for a way to watch the “Matlock” season 1 online for free, FuboTV, DirecTV Stream and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME all offer free trials to new subscribers.

Bates plays Madeline Matlock, a talented woman in her 70s many years removed from the successes of her younger years who is now looking back on the mistakes in her life and wants to get back in the game to make some money. Using her unassuming demeanor, she works her way into a position at Jacobson Moore, a prestigious law firm. But little do they know, she has an ulterior motive for her moves.
