MEDINA, Ohio – Anyone who wants to keep up with athletics within the Medina City Schools can have information right at their fingertips through a new mobile app.
Athletic Director Todd Hodkey and Assistant Athletic Director Mason Harper recently shared details about the app during a board of education meeting.
“We are always trying to progress and get better with our communication,” Hodkey said. “Our website, medinaathletics.com, has been utilized for a long time and we continue to grow and expand it and now having an app on your phone you can easily access articles, updates of scores, schedules, signings and all sorts of information. We update schedules every day and this showcases not only our varsity athletics, but also JV, freshman and middle school. This showcases every athlete in the school district who puts on the green and white.”
Harper said community members can find the app at the Apple Store and Google Play.
“You can select Medina High School and see our logo and then you can filter it by specific teams,” he said. “You can have access to our daily calendar and there are also links that will take you directly to where you can purchase tickets to athletic events.”
Harper said the app will also allow people to watch live sporting events and it will also link them to the district’s team shop where they can purchase Medina athletic gear.
“It’s a great way for everyone to keep up to date on what is going on with Medina athletics,” Hodkey said.
