Actress Meerqeen expressed her disappointment when her dream of achieving success was looked down upon by some.
Meerqeen or Muhammad Shameer Shauqeen Shaiful Izam, 23, said she was upset when outsiders only saw the shortcomings of a person instead of their potential.
“My teachers and classmates used to say that my dreams were too big, out of reach and impossible to achieve. It’s quite disappointing to hear their doubts especially from the people who should be providing support. I realize they think like that because they only see other people’s limitations compared to my own potential,” he said through a post on Instagram.
Along with the caption, Meerqeen also shared several photos of her successful collaboration with international brands and her vision for 2022. Previously, Meerqeen received criticism from netizens for expressing her dream of winning an Academy Award trophy or an Oscar.
Realizing that the path to achieving the feat was difficult, Meerqeen however said she remains positive and remains committed to working hard. For him, success does not come rolling if he does not dare to face risks and challenges.
“The journey to achieve something great is not an easy or straight road. It takes hard work, endurance, and courage to keep going. I learned that big dreams should not be a reason to give up, instead it should be a motivation to work hard,” he explained.
In the meantime, Meerqeen also advised the public to always be confident in their own potential without having to listen to the criticism of others.
“Remember this, your dreams reflect your potential, not the limits set by others. I hope everyone has the courage to reject doubts and pursue their dreams,” he said. – Agency
