BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 5 – The graduates are expected to be able to take advantage of the results of their studies by applying religious knowledge in daily practice, where memorizing the verses of the Quran that they have mastered should become part of the graduates and always be with them.
The matter was confirmed by the Minister of Religious Affairs as Chairman of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute Board (ITQSHHB), Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Director Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman in his welcome prayer on The institute’s 12th Haflut Takharruj ceremony held at the International Conference Center, Berakas, today.
He also reminded the graduates that regardless of where they are and whatever their position after this, the memorized verses of the Quran should always be a guide in living life.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the glory and honor of memorizing the Qur’an, which brings blessings not only to oneself and one’s family, but also to the society in this country.
Yang Berhormat Pehin also stated that regardless of the rank or level of achievement achieved by the graduates, they are now part of the 242 graduates who have completed their studies at the ‘Aliyah Qiraat Diploma level since the course was first introduced about 14 years ago.
In addition, the institution has also given birth and supplied the country with some of its new generation of people who are individuals who have memorized the Qur’an.
“These people have potential not only in religious service careers, but also in other services, as we see nowadays,” he explained.
He also stated that the existence of ITQSHHB as part of the education and study center in this country has a clear purpose, where the effort to realize the pure purpose of establishing the institute, Al-Quran memorization studies at ITQSHHB is also aligned with the national education policy.
Accordingly, ITQSHHB as a religious studies center also offers general subjects according to the national education system, similar to religious studies in religious and Arabic secondary schools.
“At the same time, Al-Quran memorization studies at ITQSHHB have been developed and improved, with the introduction of ‘Aliyah Qiraat Diploma level studies as a result of the expansion and improvement,” he added.
Yang Berhormat Pehin also emphasized that the thought to be studied further is to tidy up and expand the memorization lesson itself, one of which is to add the element of studying the verses of the Al-Quran.
He also expressed the importance of considering skills training that is not only beneficial to the graduates and their families, but also has a positive impact on society as a whole.
