Men with meth who parked on curb to repair muffler arrested in Brook Park

BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Cleveland man, 27, and a Brook Park man, 42, were arrested at about 11 p.m. Oct. 12 after police caught them with methamphetamine.

Someone called police and said that a Chevrolet Impala had driven over a curb and onto the tree lawn of an urgent care center at 15900 Snow Road.

When police arrived, the men told police that they were repairing the Impala’s muffler and were using the curb as a makeshift jack.

Police recognized the older man. They had caught him with narcotics thrice in the past. Both men denied possessing narcotics. The younger man, who was the car’s driver, gave police permission to search the vehicle.

Police found a plastic baggie containing what looked like crushed methamphetamine and a hypodermic syringe in the Impala. The older man claimed that the drugs belonged to his girlfriend.

On the ground next to the older man, police found another plastic baggie containing what they believed was crushed meth. The man denied that the drugs were his.

Police found seven orange pills in the younger man’s backpack. The younger man said the pills were Seroquel, a psychiatric medication. First he said the pills were his, then he said they belonged to his sister.
