MENTOR, Ohio — A week after giving up more than 300 yards rushing to Kentucky commit Marquise Davis in a win against Cleveland Heights, Julian Solis had plenty of motivation to keep Mentor’s undefeated streak alive.
Solis, a 6-foot senior defensive end, served as a wrecking ball Saturday afternoon against a big offensive line from River Rouge. Mentor’s visitors from Michigan mostly ran the football, but didn’t pick up most of its yardage until the Cardinals had a comfortable lead in their 47-21 win at Jerome T. Osborne Stadium.
