KOTA KINABALU, 23 OCT – The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has informed that tropical storm Trami has been detected 1,281 kilometers (km) northeast of Kudat causing continuous rain and strong winds in Sabah.
MetMalaysia in a statement today informed that the tropical storm occurred at latitude 15.7 north and longitude 124.4 east, approximately 395 km to the Northeast of Manila, Philippines.
Based on observations at 8am, MetMalaysia informed that the tropical storm is moving towards the North West at a speed of 20 km per hour (km/h) and can reach a maximum of 83 km/h.
According to MetMalaysia, in addition to continuous rain and strong winds, rough sea conditions will also occur in the waters of the South China Sea and the Sulu Sea. – Named
