Middleburg Heights police arrest Cleveland man & woman wanted by Cuyahoga County sheriff

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio – A wanted Cleveland man, 25, and a wanted Cleveland woman, 39, were arrested at about 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at Red Roof Inn, 17555 Bagley.

A witness told police that criminal activity was taking place in a room at the hotel. A Red Roof manager told police who staying in the room. It was the Cleveland man.

Police learned the Cleveland man was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for a felony weapons offense.

Police staked out the hotel room. They saw a man, later identified as a 50-year-old Lakewood resident, and the Cleveland woman step out of the room and walk to a gas station on Bagley. The man and woman had the same last name.

The Cleveland woman was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated burglary. Police placed her in handcuffs.

Shortly afterward, police saw the Cleveland man leave the hotel. They stopped him outside.

Inside the man’s hotel room, police found a box of hypodermic needles. Two of the needles contained what they believed was heroin.
