COLUMBIA, Mo. – Rising programs will collide in a Top 25 matchup as the No. 6 Missouri Tigers host the No. 24 Boston College Eagles today – Saturday, Sept. 14 – at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri. This game is available on multiple streaming services.

The matchup will broadcast live on the SEC Network at 12:45 p.m. Eastern. (11:45 a.m. Central). Fans without cable, or those blacked out on DirecTV, can catch the game at no cost via FuboTV, which offers a free trial and $30 off your first month.

Another option is SlingTV, which has promotional offers for new customers. In order to watch the SEC Network, you will need the Sling Orange plus the Sports Extra add-on ($11 per month).

The Tigers’ defense has still not relinquished a point, outclassing FCS opposition Murray State and MAC foe Buffalo by a combined score of 89-0. It’s the first time since 1935 they have opened with back-to-back shutouts.

This will be the first real test for Missouri and senior quarterback Brady Cook, who is 48-of-67 for 456 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Cook threw for over 3,300 yards last season.

All-American junior wide receiver Luther Burden III is expected to play after missing most of last week’s game with an illness. He has seven receptions for 64 yards and one touchdown. His running mate, senior Theo Wease Jr. has 16 receptions for 179 yards.

Senior running back Nate Noel has filled in the shoes of Cody Schrader admirably, tallying 23 carries for 121 yards and three touchdowns in two games.

The defense has dominated their assignments. The Tigers are allowing just 127 yards per game.

A win for the Tigers would give them a second consecutive season with a 3-0 record. They have won 18 consecutive non-conference home games.

Head coach Bill O’Brien and Boston College (2-0) continue to ride a wave of momentum after their season-opening 28-13 victory at Florida State. The Eagles blasted FCS Duquesne 56-0 in their previous game, setting up arguably their toughest test of the season.

The Eagles style is predicated on the run game. They have run the rock 77.1% of the time in their first two games. Seniors Treshaun Ward, Kye Robichaux and freshman Turbo Richard make up the three-headed attack. All three have over 100 yards rushing.

Junior quarterback Thomas Castellanos has been stellar with 340 passing yards and six touchdowns while also providing a threat on the ground with 81 yards and one touchdown.

The offense amassed 563 total yards last week. On the other side, the Eagles’ defense has allowed only one touchdown in two games.

Boston College will look to muddy up the matchup and milk the clock while Missouri will hit the ground running, looking to ignite their high-powered offense from all fronts.

It’s only the second meeting between the two programs. Boston College won the first matchup at Chestnut Hill 41-34 in overtime back in 2021.
