BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 4 – A group of members of the National Assembly (MMN) attended a dialogue session with the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) which took place in the Al-Mahabbah Meeting Room, MTIC Building, today.
Welcoming the presence of the delegation of MMN members to the dialogue session was the Acting Permanent Secretary, MTIC, Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim.
Also present in the dialogue session were the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transport), Awang Ridzuan bin Haji Ahmad, heads of departments, chief executives of the Brunei Darussalam Maritime and Port Authority (PBMP), senior officers and MTIC officers, departments -departments and authorities under him.
Haji Hairul Mohd Daud in his welcome speech touched on the transport sector by focusing on safety and security, service excellence and sustainable growth.
The ceremony continued with a briefing session on the functions and roles of the Transport Policy Division and also the Transport Safety Division under MTIC which is also related to the latest developments and future planning.
At the same time, MMN members had the opportunity to exchange views and share experiences to plan the steps forward towards achieving progress in the transport sector in this country.
