Country singer Morgan Wallen (31, “I Had Some Help”) has the best chances of winning the CMA Country Awards in November.

Wallen leads the list of award contenders with seven nominations, including in the categories of single, song, best male vocalist and “Entertainer of the Year”, as announced by the Country Music Association (CMA).

Singers Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton follow with five nominations each, while rapper Post Malone and singer Lainey Wilson each have four chances of winning.

In addition to Wallen, Stapleton and Wilson, Luke Combs and Jelly Roll are also competing for the country’s top award for “Entertainer of the Year”. Last year, singer Wilson (“Watermelon Moonshine”) won the coveted trophy.

US superstar Beyoncé was left empty-handed in the nominations. The singer made it to the top of the Billboard country album charts this year with her album “Cowboy Carter”. This made the Texan-born singer the first black woman to top the US country album charts.

This year’s awards will be presented for the 58th time on November 20th in the country music capital of Nashville. More than 7,000 CMA members will select the winners.
