“Russia has never given up its role as an “honest mediator” in the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin stated in an interview with CSTO Allies.
“We hope that the existing disagreements will be resolved as soon as possible and will bring about successful progress in other areas of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, in accordance with the tripartite agreements at the highest level,” he said.
Sergey Kopirkin emphasized that Russia is ready to “provide full support for the reconciliation of two friendly countries and peoples”.
Parallel to the tense Armenian-Russian relations, Yerevan refuses the negotiation platform offered by Moscow.
