Motorcycle World Championship: Setback for Martín – Bradl in the points in Misano

Jorge Martín suffered a setback in the fight for the motorcycle world championship in the MotoGP class after a misjudgment. In Ducati rider Marc Márquez’s second victory in a row, the overall leader was the only contender to come into the pits to change to his rain-tuned motorcycle when it started to rain. This meant he fell far behind, as the rain only lasted for a short time. The Spaniard finished 15th in the race in Misano.

Martín is still leading the World Championship table, but his lead over his brand colleague Francesco Bagnaia has shrunk to seven points. Honda substitute driver Stefan Bradl collected his first two points of the season in 14th place in another wildcard race.
